Regulation  of  the  Internet:  A Transnational Challenge

(4 ECTS)

Prof. Mark  Cole

The law department will contribute to the teaching in the field of ICT and media law. These will be guided by the question of how – if at all – to regulate the transnational dimension of problems occurring in the international use of communication “via the Internet”. Specifically, the possible responses to illegal activities on the web or by using the web as well as the violation of individual’s rights (e.g., data protection or author’s rights) will be in the focus. These issues will be dealt with from an interdisciplinary perspective involving the SnT.
